The Southampton Boat Show was back in full swing this year under glorious blue skies and perfect temperatures. The first day was as busy as ever with plenty of serious potential purchasers out to compare boats and have detailed viewings. Here at Clearwater we finalised two purchases and had many very interesting discussions. Whilst well aware of rather gloomy economic predictions most people were busy and buoyant, confident of weathering any storm.

Again the Princess stand stole the show, with a wonderful line up of boats, including the world premier of three brand new flybridge models, the F65, F55 and F50 and the debut of the V50 Deck and Y72 down on the water, with a huge, open presence and hospitality on land. Also well represented was Saxdor, with two exciting new models, the 205 and 270, again both world premiers. The finish and detailing of both was exceptional.

Our friends at Offshore Powerboats had a Nimbus T11, T9 and W9 on the water, which they kindly made available for viewings. Also present was the rather elegant and beautifully equipped Flipper 900DC – one for Menorca perhaps?

Agapi Boat Club was well represented by Premier Marinas with the full advantages and benefits of free world roaming all too apparent.
